Ron Abuelo Anejo’s finish collection is a captive expression of their art in the sacred rum-making technique and a tribute to their passion for producing the best-aged rum.

One of three releases in Abuelo’s XV Finish Collection, this has spent the end of its 15-year maturation in barrels that used to hold Napoleon Cognac. A dry rum with notes of dried fruit and coffee.

Looking beyond Panama for inspiration, Napoleon is expertly finished in Cognac casks from France for a deep explosion of ripe autumn fruit with elegant hints of oak and dark chocolate.

They have selected their most treasured reserves, carefully aged in white American oak barrels, and in their final finish they have aged them up to 15 years in sherry, cognac, and Porto boots.

The name of each product has been deliberately chosen, each reflecting not only the wood character of the finish, but also the places that inspired ron abuelo to create them: oloroso for Jerez and Spain, napoleon for cognac and France, and tawny for Porto and Portugal.

Nose:

Melon, pineapple, toasted sugar, and cedar, with a touch of smoke to it.

Palate:

Dark chocolate and herbal honey, with a little bit of red berry tanginess.

Finish:

Dry cacao and cinnamon.
